100 Neediest Cases

Since 1900, the St Louis Post Dispatch has had an annual tradition of helping out the truly unfortunate via their "100 Neediest Cases" drive. Each year from Thanksgiving to Christmas (ish), they post 100 stories of people in need of a hand. Actually, over 10,000 people are assisted as a result of this drive. But if ever you want to be truly thankful for what you have, all you have to do is read the stories.
Two parents? Check.
Food and housing? Check.
Good health and no crippling medical bills? Check.
Good education? Check.
Lack of natural catastrophe destroying all of our earthly possessions? Check.
