Awakenings
Ok, yes I'm late to this party too. I hadn't seen this movie, but I had struggled through the book. Somehow I couldn't quite bring myself to see on screen what I had read in the book. Still, finally last night, hubby and I watched the movie. And it was fabulous. It's poignant without being totally schmaltzy. Robin Williams and Robert Deniro turn in amazing performances (explaining Deniro's academy award, I guess!)So if there's anyone else left in the world who hasn't seen the movie, sign up on Netflix, or hit the local Blockbuster. It's time.
