Aftershock
As Chris says on the TRM Cycles blog, picking up Ginger was fairly spur of the moment. So now we're just dealing with the startlement of waking up with a crate in our room, and a crazy puppy to offset our staid dog. Part of this was aided by the fact that when you go to the pound in rural OH, you DON'T have to donate a kidney the way you do when you get a dog at the humane society. What a concept! It took 2 hours to get the paperwork completed when we got Fred. It took 3 minutes to get Ginger, hand over the money, and leave. The good news is she's a good little girl so far. She's not housetrained, but she seems to have the general idea that she should be. So when I take her out, she's pottying. She's figured out that
sit = treat, so now her little butt hits the floor the minute the treats come out. Which should improve our odds of getting a picture of her that doesn't involve a blur. She's all puppy energy, and she's totally fascinated by Fred's bones. She spent about half an hour last night chewing on one of his bones.
It's good! Now we just want to figure out her breeds, and how much trouble we're going to be in when she grows up to weigh 400 lbs.
